Your health data is sensitive
Nourish Biome AI handles information related to your weight, body composition, medications (including GLP-1), dietary patterns, and metabolic health. We treat this information as sensitive personal data and apply heightened care, as described below. We do not sell your personal data.
1. Who We Are
Nourish Biome AI ("Nourish Biome", "we", "us") is a U.S. company located at 1201 Jupiter Park Dr Unit 5, Jupiter, FL 33458, United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
2. Information We Collect
A. Account & profile
- Name and email address (required to create an account)
- Password (stored hashed; we never store it in plaintext)
- Authentication metadata (sessions, sign-in timestamps, IP address)
B. Sensitive health & nutrition data
- Height, weight, age, biological sex (for nutrition calculations)
- Health goals (weight loss, blood-sugar stability, gut health, etc.)
- Whether you are using a GLP-1 medication, and other dietary preferences
- Food allergies, intolerances, and dietary restrictions
- Daily-log entries: meals, calories, protein, fiber, sugar, gut comfort, mood, energy
- Nourish Score history, blood-sugar stability scores, microbiome scores
- Messages you send to the AI Nutrition Coach
C. Payment information
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers. We retain only non-sensitive billing metadata (e.g., last 4 digits, subscription status, billing period).
D. Automatically collected data
- Device, browser, and operating system information
- IP address and approximate location (city/region level)
- Pages visited, features used, and basic analytics
3. Why We Collect It
- To create and operate your account and provide the Service
- To personalize your meal plans, recipes, and Nourish Score
- To power the AI Nutrition Coach with your goals and preferences
- To process payments for Premium subscriptions
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues
- To improve the Service and develop new features
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your sensitive health data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
4. How We Store & Protect Your Data
Your data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access is limited to authorized personnel and processes on a need-to-know basis. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes.
No system is 100% secure. While we apply commercially reasonable safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials.
5. Third-Party Processors
We share the minimum information necessary with the following categories of service providers, under contractual confidentiality obligations:
- AI provider (OpenAI): messages and necessary context you send to the AI Nutrition Coach are processed by OpenAI's API to generate responses. Conversations may include health-related details you provide.
- Stripe: processes Premium subscription payments and stores card data on its PCI-compliant infrastructure.
- Cloud hosting & database providers: store and serve the Service infrastructure.
- Email / transactional providers: deliver account-related and support communications when applicable.
We do not authorize these processors to use your personal data for their own independent purposes.
6. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We may disclose your information:
- With your explicit consent
- To service providers strictly to operate the Service (see Section 5)
- To comply with law, valid legal process, or governmental request
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Nourish Biome, our users, or others
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we will provide notice and any choices required by law
We do not sell your personal data.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account and health-related data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing and tax records).
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request that inaccurate data be corrected
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal data
- Portability — request a portable copy of your data
- Objection / restriction — object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdrawal of consent — withdraw any consent you previously gave

9. Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies. By using the Service you agree to our use of cookies as described here. Cookies fall into two categories:
- Essential cookies: required for the Service to function — including authentication, session management, security, and remembering your cookie-banner choice. These cannot be disabled within the Service.
- Analytics cookies: help us understand which features are used so we can improve the Service. These contain no health-related content of your interactions.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies will prevent the Service from working correctly.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. International Users
Nourish Biome AI is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have data-protection laws different from your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
12. Jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, consistent with our Terms of Service.
